Abstract

This community service initiative analyzes the impact of utilizing the school environment as a learning resource on students' collaborative skills in IPAS (Science, Social Studies, and Arts) learning at SD Negeri 245 Batutompo. This research employed a quasi-experimental design with a One Group Pretest-Posttest Design approach. The study sample consisted of 30 fifth-grade students. Data were collected through questionnaires and observation, then analyzed using the Kolmogorov-Smirnov normality test, Levene's homogeneity test, and Paired Sample T-Test hypothesis testing. The research results indicate that the utilization of the school environment as a learning resource was in the very high category (60%) with an average score of 84.2, while students' collaborative skills were also categorized as very good (66.7%) with an average score of 86.7. The t-test showed a t count  value of 4.312 (t table  2.048) and a significance of 0.000 (<0.05), proving a significant influence of utilizing the school environment on students' collaborative skills. The regression equation (Y = 28.274 + 0.695X) demonstrates that an increase in the utilization of the school environment positively correlates with collaborative skills. This confirms that the school environment plays a crucial role in shaping students' collaborative character, aligning with behavioristic theory and Vygotsky's social constructivism.
