Abstract

 This research analyzes the effect of the Project-Based Learning (PBL) model with animated video media on the Social Studies learning outcomes of sixth-grade students at SD Negeri 181 Tanah Kongkong. Using a quantitative descriptive design, the study involved 60 students as population and sample, divided into control and experimental classes. Data were collected through pretest and posttest. Results showed a significant increase in the experimental class (average 81.00 from 60.67) after implementing PBL and animated videos, compared to the control class (average 71.33 from 63.50) with conventional learning. Normality and homogeneity tests validated the data, and the t-test showed a significant difference (p<0.001) between the two groups. This proves that the combination of PBL and animated videos effectively improves learning outcomes, interest, and active student participation, making it a superior learning innovation for Social Studies in elementary schools.
